Does the Gold Coast have daylight saving?

No. Queensland does not use daylight saving. From October to April the Gold Coast is one hour behind Sydney and Melbourne.

Is the Gold Coast the same time as Brisbane?

Yes, to the second. They share a time zone and a motorway, and only one of those runs on schedule.

Why does Tweed Heads show a different time?

Tweed Heads is in New South Wales, which does use daylight saving. In summer you can cross a street and lose an hour. We counted the street. It is not very wide.

Gold Coast time, counted live.

It is this time on the Gold Coast right now. We checked. Then we checked again, one second later.

The Gold Coast runs on Brisbane time: Australian Eastern Standard Time, UTC+10, all year. When Sydney and Melbourne jump forward an hour in October, the Gold Coast stays put. The border towns run two clocks for half the year. We count both and trust one.

Reading the clock, Australian Eastern Standard Time, UTC+10. Brisbane time, as all time should be.

Queensland does not do daylight saving. They counted the votes in 1992. It was a no. We respect a well counted vote.

Australian Eastern Standard Time, UTC+10, the same as Brisbane. It does not change for summer.
